Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 Book
The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, is India’s new criminal code, replacing the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Introduced on August 11, 2023, and later revised, the BNS Act aims to modernize the criminal justice system by updating offences, increasing penalties, and including recommendations from a parliamentary committee.

The current edition is based on The Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023, which replaces The Indian Penal Code, 1860, and came into effect on 1 July 2024. This 37th edition provides a detailed analysis of the new provisions introduced by the Nyaya Sanhita, however, it preserves the essence and spirit of the original work, ensuring its continued applicability and relevance to both the newly enacted and the foundational principles of the earlier Act.
